2013 may not fully represent non-Gateway applications because it was the first year of the system, and listings commenced March 2013.

There were also special circumstances in 2013 that saw the deadline extended from 30 April to 9 May. When looking at non-Gateway applications with a deadline of 30 April 2013 we find an additional 49 pupillages from 21 sets. Therefore to account for this discrepancy we test for both deadline dates in the "All applications" category in 2013. As the deadline for 2016 does not fall on 30 April we also test for the official deadline (4 May) and 30 April for that year.
